Summertime is upon New England, and there’s no better way to enjoy the warm sunshine than getting outdoors in Boston. Jazz in the Park
This summer, the North End Music & Performing Arts Center is hosting its annual Jazz in the Park concert series at the Rose Kennedy Greenway North End Park. Admission is free for everyone, so pack a picnic dinner and listen to talented jazz artists play out in the warm summer night. This series of four concerts runs over the course of July.
Concerts at Fenway Park
Fenway isn’t just known for its champion baseball team—this summer, see a concert at Fenway Park. Billy Joel, the Zac Brown Band, The Who, and Phish are all playing at this unforgettable venue. Get your tickets soon before they all sell out!
July
Fourth of July in Boston
Celebrate our independence at the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular this Independence Day. The concert features both the Boston Pops Orchestra as well as famous performers, including Queen Latifa and Arlo Guthrie. The night finishes with a truly spectacular fireworks show.
Boston Pizza Festival
Do you love pizza? If so, you’ll also love the Boston Pizza Festival. There will be plenty of vendors serving up slices of their best pizza (which, by the way, is all-you-can eat), as well as beer and wine, live music and other entertainment. This year, the festival spans July 13 and 14. Tickets for this popular event are limited, so buy them soon!
Red Sox Versus Yankees at Fenway
These long-time rivals will play twice this July at Fenway Park. Get your fan gear on and cheer your favorite team to victory! Tickets will likely sell out fast, but you can still get them here for their July 25 and 28 games.
August
Boston Seafood Festival
Now in its eighth year, the Boston Seafood Festival is a can’t-miss celebration. There’s food (obviously), a Harpoon Brewery tent, live music, a fish cutting contest, and chef demonstrations. Support the Boston Fisheries Foundation by attending, which promotes education about sustainable fishing. This year it takes place August 4 on the Historic Boston Fish Pier.
Boston Jazz Fest
Boston loves jazz music, and so do we. The Boston Jazz Fest is a free event on August 30 and 31 located at the Boston Maritime Park in the Seaport. There will be delicious food from a variety of vendors and a lineup of talented musicians.
