C&J Bus Lines is excited to reintroduce dedicated express service to Boston South Station effective September 7th. This route will serve all of C&J’s Terminal locations, including the Dover Terminal, and operate seven days a week.
“The post-pandemic economy is rebounding, and people are on the move. We believe this is an opportune time to introduce faster and more flexible service into the heart of downtown Boston” says Jim Jalbert, President of C&J Bus Lines. “Employers are bringing their teams back to the office under new hybrid models, students are returning to campus, and Fenway Park is filling up. We anticipate enough demand to make the case for sending passengers directly into Boston South Station, rather than routing them through the airport first” says Jalbert.
C&J’s Dover Terminal will reopen on a limited basis as part of the service reintroduction. Dover services will be limited to five daily roundtrips to South-Station. Logan Airport service will not be available from the Dover Terminal at this time. “We’re not there yet” says Jalbert. “Reintroducing service to Dover through the addition of direct South Station routes is the first step towards expanding options from that location.”
The company’s Portsmouth and Seabrook locations will each offer nine daily-roundtrips to South Station. Highly flexible online fares, usable on any South Station coach, will be available for prices as low as $12 per ride. “All travel and commute plans are tenuous in the pandemic environment, so we want to be fair and flexible with our riders” says Jalbert.
C&J’s South Station service will offer contact-free boarding and spacious seating aboard its double-decker coaches. Pursuant to TSA law, all C&J passengers and staff are required to wear face coverings aboard the bus and inside terminal buildings.
C&J will continue to offer 20 daily roundtrips to Boston’s Logan Airport from its Portsmouth and Seabrook locations, as well as daily executive class service to New York City.
