Boston is always bustling with activity and there are usually more events and food festivals going on than anyone has time for. We know how busy you are, so we’ve handpicked a few food festivals in Boston this summer and fall that are well worth your time!
To save even more time (and money), ride with C&J direct into Boston South Station for any one of these great festivals. We make it easy: comfortable seating, free Wi-Fi, power outlets, and complementary cold water. When you take one of our buses from Dover, Portsmouth, or Newburyport, you’ll even enjoy discounted tickets! What are you waiting for?
If you’re a huge donut lover, then you need to attend the Boston Donut Fest on July 28. Besides a wide assortment of donuts, there will also be coffee, live music, and plenty of games for kids! All children under eight get in free, making this a perfect low-cost way to spend an afternoon with the family enjoying the summer weather (and donuts, of course).
On August 4, the Boston Fisheries Foundation will host its annual Boston Seafood Festival on the Historic Boston Fish Pier. In attendance will be some of the city’s top chefs, seafood vendors serving up delicious specials, a Harpoon beer garden, and live entertainers. If you’re feeling competitive, join the Battle of the Shuckers to see who’s the best oyster shucker out there. The best part of the festival, however, is knowing that you’re supporting one of the oldest and most important industries in New England: fishing!
Help the ALS Therapy Development Institute raise money for ALS research (and enjoy some craft beer and delicious food in the process). The Brewing a Cure 4 ALS is an afternoon of fun for a great cause happening on August 10. In attendance will be small breweries such as Lamplighter, Revival, Notch, Cheeky Monkey, and many more! Buy your tickets to help support ALS researchers looking for a cure to this terrible disease.
On August 15 or September 12, head to Eataly for their evening block party! Entry is free and buying tickets will get you plates of delectable food, gelato, cannolis, and drinks. Come hungry and leave satisfied after enjoying an evening of Italian food, live music, and great wine and beer.
Join the Fort Point community on August 18 for their annual, family-friendly festival! There will be 15 different local restaurants serving up great dishes, a beer garden, art, music, and even a play area for children! Kids love the petting zoo and performance by the Tea Party Museum. Pack up the whole family and head to this rain-or-shine event for a memorable day at Fort Point!
