C&J NY Gate Change: Starting July 14, 2024
Starting Sunday, July 14, 2024, all C&J arrivals and departures at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in NYC will be relocated to Gate 36.
At C&J we’re committed to doing everything in our power to ensure that our passengers remain healthy and safe when they travel with us. We take great pride in providing top-of-the-line service to each and every one of our riders, and along with that comes our new safe travel guidelines. There are several steps we are taking to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria on our buses and in our terminals. When you ride with C&J, you can rest assured that you will get to your destination safely.
We’d like to share all the ways C&J is taking extra precautions to keep you and your family safe when traveling with us.
UPDATE APRIL 19, 2022 – Masks now Optional, learn more.
C&J customers are required to wear a face mask, or appropriate cloth face covering over their nose and mouth throughout their travel, aligning with best practice guidelines from the CDC. Plastic face shields may be used in addition to a mask but are not approved mask replacements. Any mask with an exhaust valve is not approved as an acceptable face mask for customers traveling on any C&J bus.
Our employees are wearing approved masks in our terminals and drivers are wearing masks on board while scanning tickets and interacting with customers. Drivers may remove their masks, behind the plexi-glass shield, while driving.
Children under the age two are exempt from the mask requirement. Learn more about our face covering policy.
After every trip, we take care to clean our buses thoroughly so they’re spotless for our next passengers. This includes picking up any trash left behind, cleaning each seat, and disinfecting every row (including the backs of each seat). We use special sanitizing spray equipment that is extremely effective at destroying germs and bacteria.
Our maintenance staff all wear gloves and personal protective equipment while they clean to further avoid the spread of germs. We always go the extra mile when ensuring that our coaches are spotlessly clean.
Not only do we work hard to clean all of our buses, but we also prioritize the cleanliness of our terminals and drivers. All of our terminals are stocked with hand sanitizer and our staff makes sure to sanitize their hands between every single transaction. This helps to prevent the spread of germs from person to person.
Additionally, all of our drivers sanitize their hands after loading luggage under the coach. This is yet another measure we take to keep both our staff and our passengers healthy and safe.
We have implemented self-service ticket kiosks at our Portsmouth, Newburyport, and South Station terminals to reduce contact between customers and employees. That said, we always recommend using mobile ticketing. Simply display your ticket on your phone and present it to our drivers to be scanned when boarding.
We take your health seriously here at C&J Bus Lines. All of our staff is working tirelessly to provide the spread of germs and bacteria on our buses and in our terminals. When you need to travel, choose C&J for safe, clean, and stress-free transportation.
